Story
Nottingham University Hospitals Youth Service support young people (11-24 years) living with a wide range of long-term medical conditions and disabilities. This could include chronic kidney disease; cystic fibrosis; diabetes; chronic asthma; cancer; juvenille arthritis; cerebral palsy; autism and many more.
These young people face many issues surrounding their condition and our service was put in place to help young people with their personal and social development and transition into adult services.
Last year over 500 young people were involved in our service and they wouldn't have access to this support without the fundraising efforts from so many people.
Your donation could enable young people to receive advice and support work from the youth workers; using the well-equipped Youth Room during hospital stays to have vital peer contact; attending the weekly hospital youth club specically set up for young people accross Nottinghamshire with chronic health conditions; activity and support programs for long-term patients; day trips and residential holidays; transition support; involvement in long-term projects such as the Youth Achievement Awards.
Thank you for your support.
