Story
This year, the Norton Rose Fulbright London office will be raising money for The Manna Society. A local homeless shelter based in Southwark. Employees can donate directly to this page, or bring in the items requested to the kitchenettes in the office.
The Manna Society has run the Manna Day Centre since 1982, supporting homeless people in the heart of London. The Manna staff and dedicated volunteers offer respect and loving care to those who come to the Day Centre. On average, they cater for 120-150 people per day.
Approximately three quarters of their clients are homeless (44% sleeping rough, 13% staying with friends, 12% in hostels & 5% squatting). The remaining 25% are in socially rented and private accommodation. The Centre is run by a team of 8 full-time, 4 part-time workers and about 20 volunteers every week.
