Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Our Bolton NHS Charity is the official charity partner of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and we aim to go above and beyond what the NHS can provide so our patients receive the standard of care we’d want for ourselves, our families and our friends.
Bolton Neonatal Unit is a regional level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is part of the Greater Manchester Neonatal Network. Babies are admitted to the Neonatal Unit for many reasons, for example, they may have been born prematurely; have an infection requiring treatment; have had a difficult birth resulting in medical intervention and/or be of a low birthweight. The unit consists of nine intensive care cots, seven high dependency cots and 22 special care cots. On average the Bolton NNU cares for around 600 infants every year.
November is a busy month for the Bolton Neonatal Unit. In November, we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary and on 17th November, we will be acknowledging World Prematurity Day; a global movement pioneered by Bliss (the leading charity for premature birth) to raise awareness of premature birth and the effects it can have on the family.
If you would like to show your support for these two events and help Our Bolton NHS Charity do more to support Bolton Neonatal Unit and its incredible work to care for our youngest patients, please donate today.
* All funds raised through this JustGiving page will be ring-fenced for the benefit of Bolton Neonatal Unit. All donations will help to support our youngest patients and their families at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
If we are unable to meet, or we surpass, our fundraising target of £1000, your donation will still be used for the intended purpose.
