Story
During these extraordinary times our NHS staff are working tirelessly to care for our communities. Working back to back 12 hour shifts, risking their own lives to care for us, and using every bit of strength they have to fight at such an uncertain time.
Now, as we all know DJ Biggles - a very famous face in the beloved village of Slawit, has kept us entertained the past 2 weekends by giving us a virtual disco through Facebook live from his conservatory. Amid the U.K. lockdown, we all needed our spirits lifting, which is exactly what he has been doing. Bringing our community together and giving joy to us all stuck at home following the governments advice. As he has already done 2 of these gigs, we decided why not go bigger and better? Not only will he be back for a 3rd live disco (even though it was only ever supposed to be the one), this time he is doing it to raise money for our wonderful NHS. After speaking to majority of people, their wish was for it to stay local, so we have decided to specifically keep it local and raise for the NHS Calderdale & Huddersfield Foundation Trust Registered Charity.
This is happening on Saturday the 18th April, 2 till 6pm. The usual entertainment will go on, music, drinking (fosters), dressing up in several different costumes, and purely just keeping you entertained for however many hours. Whack the volume up, get the beers in and pretend your at the commerch or little bridge!
Any donations would be muchly appreciated.
