Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In April 2023 a disparate group of middle aged men will be taking on the biggest physical challenge of their lives - cycling the famous North Coast 500 route.
This cycle challenge covers approx. 500 miles of the most beautiful, remote and brutally steep roads in the UK. As well as the 500 miles, there's also the small matter of 30,000 ft of climbing to be done over the 7 days of riding.
Our team is made up of a group of like minded guys with various levels of riding experience, fitness levels, and waist lines!! We all share one common goal - to get it done, before we're too old.
Now the important bit. Meeting the personal and team challenge of completing this challenging route is motivation enough. However, we've all agreed that we'd really like to do it in support of a great cause too.
In April 2022, a great friend of many of our group, Graham McGowan had a very serious stroke. This harrowing event came completely out of the blue, and has shocked everybody who knows Graham and his family. We are pleased to say that Graham is now in rehabilitation, and on the road to recovery. But the event has struck us deeply, and we'd like to do something meaningful to support stroke patients across Scotland.
That's why we'd be very grateful if you'd support our NC500 ride challenge for the benefit of Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. They are a fantastic charity who spend all their time supporting the patients and families of heart and stroke illnesses right across the country, by offering rehabilitation and emotional support where it's really needed.

We're all really looking forward to the challenge, and being able to support a great cause in CHSS.
Thanks a million for your support.
