For the London Global virtual holiday giving challenge 2020 we have chosen The Simon Community which has been working since 1963 to alleviate the isolation of people sleeping rough. Provide a place where they can gain a sense of belonging and foster the skills they need to move towards independent living.

This year more than 4,000 people slept rough in London. But even with government support for rough sleepers during the COVID 19 crisis, many still sleep on the streets every night.

Our target is £1,000 and if we reach it NBIM will match that taking us to £2,000.

Here is a rundown on what your donation could pay for:

£1,100 will pay for them to do a soup run to 100 rough sleepers over the winter months.

£2,400 pays for half of their street outreach costs to 500 rough sleepers across the year.

£8,000 pays for a rough sleeper to stay in their supportive, therapeutically informed home for a year. 

So please donate generously if you are able, during these challenging times.
