Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 11th of September 2007, we lost one of our best friends, Robyn Tainty.
On the 28th of December 2014, we lost another amazing soul from this planet, in Emily Thackray.
In the last 8 years, we have lost too many friends that I cannot count them on two hands.
On the 11th of September 2016, I'm going to take part in my first ever Triathlon (Olympic) in memory of these incredible people.
After speaking to her lovely family, I decided it would be most fitting to raise funds for Harefield, who throughout her short life had saved Emily’s countless times. I visited Emily a couple of times in that hospital and they were always so amazing to her, though that might have been because they knew that really, she was the boss of the ward! Either way, they were incredible people.
I aim to raise as much as I can to help Harefield with funds going towards projects that could help save countless more lives.
Even if you can spare only 50p or £1, any donations would be greatly received. If you could also make sure you're signed up to the Organ Donor Register too, you could help give people like Emily a second chance at life.I've got about 11 months to train (i've never run before and until 2 days ago, hadn't owned a bike for 10 years!), so if I can help raise a little bit each month, that would be awesome.
Thanks.
Matt
