As most of you know Mr M, my hubby and warrior sadly passed away on the 12th April 2019  after a very long battle with Myeloma. He endured many treatment regimes and complications along the way. Over the past 10 years I’ve done some mad crazy things and raised funds for Myeloma UK raising nearly 30k.

I’ve decided that any events/challenges I take part in in the future will be to raise money for Thames Hospice. 

Con spent his last 12 days in the Thames hospice and I can’t express how outstanding all of the staff were.  The care and compassion that Con received was second to none.  With the support of the staff we organised a birthday party that he attended in his hospital bed, he had 3 week old puppies on his lap a couple of days before he passed, bacon sarnies on request, Guinness, we were even allowed to bring our 2 Staffies (dogs) in to see him and much much more. Charlee and I were looked after and have received ongoing support. We’d like to say a huge thank you by raising  funds for this fantastic hospice so....

My target is £6000.  This could pay for a specialist mattress to allow a patient to be comfortable and to prevent bed sores and pressure ulcers. Con was bed ridden for the last 4 weeks of his life and used one of these. 

I walked/ran over 1000km in 2019 and raised £3600 but still not hit my target so this years challenges are, Covid permitting :-

50 miles — 28th February 

100 miles - 5th April (Con’s birthday and my first century ride)

102 miles - Beyond Sussex Sportif - 20th June 

112 miles - Dunwich Dynamo night ride, 24th July

100 miles - Long Ducker, Harrow School, 5th Sept

150 miles - TH, Big Mountain Challenge, 12th - 15th Sept

155 miles - London Revolution, 24th/25th Sept

90 miles - Palace to palace - Oct
