Story
Many thousands of individuals and families in the UK will experience some form of homelessness. With eviction notices dropping on doormats, the introduction of punitive universal credit; lack of secure work; rent and cost of living rises, these are just some the reasons why people face homelessness and the harsh reality of sleeping on the streets, sofa surfing or desperately trying to find shelter in sheds and garages.
Recently a team of eight EYP colleagues from the Turnaround and Restructuring services team were fortunate enough to team up with Hand on Heart Trust (England and Wales Registered Charity Number: 1193599) for the fifth time, and deliver x100 Winter Warmer Packs to rough sleepers, the disadvantaged and the vulnerable in Shoreditch, Central London.
Each pack costs 20 pounds and includes joggers, thermals
(top and bottom), thermal socks (3 pairs), underwear (3 pairs), winter gloves, woolly hats, deodorants, wet wipes, toothbrush/toothpaste, hand sanitiser and ten face masks.
A team of friends and colleagues are looking to trek Mount Kilimanjaro in June 2022 and our goal is to cover the cost of the 200 packs costing £4,000 and provide warmth and support to those going through the most challenging times.
If we raise £3,000, we can seek matched funding for
another £1,000, so now, every pound you donate for this page stretches even further. Please support this great cause as it needs our support.
It would be great if we could have 200 generous donors to
give £20 each and we will reach our target and then we can match fund. Please help this worthy cause.
