Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am painting this mural to raise awareness for this amazing charity that does so much for people that really need it, especially in these coldest of times of each year. 100% of all donations will be going to the charity directly! I will not see or touch any donations and will not be taking any help with the costs etc of this mural. These are amazing people and deserve as much support as we can all give. Times are getting harder and harder by the day for a lot of people and the number of homeless people is increasing scarily fast.

Please give what you can, and if you can it would be great if anyone could volunteer help or join them on an outreach evening or help out at one of their drop in centres.

Lets see if we can hit this target!

Thank you all in advance.

Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.
