Fundraising for a Library in Africa!
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" - Nelson Mandela
Do you remember what it was like as a child to walk into a library full of books? The excitement at the wealth of pictures, fairy tales, adventures and favourite authors! What most of us didn't realise at the time was that reading is about more than flying with dragons and swimming with dolphins. Reading helped develop our verbal skills, sparked our imaginations, spurred our creativity, and ignited our critical thinking.
Unfortunately, many children around the world do not have access to books and the amazing skills that reading promotes, or the experiences a library has to offer. We may not be able to fix the world with this, but we can start with 650 students at AIC - one school, in one community, in one region in Tanzania with the IQRA LIBRARY.
With your support and generosity we hope to raise £10,000 to establish a library with over 10,000 books, 2 computers, a full time librarian and tablets for an ICT lab, with e-learning facilities and coding classes. With your help, we can aid the foundation of learning and experiences for these children.
Please consider giving, to be part of an initiative that keeps on giving.
