Message from Lynda Guy, GLCT

CoVid 19 has interfered with so much for us all, not least the Golden Lion Children’s Trust plans to support local children with special needs and disadvantaged families. Throughout this year all our projects for the children together with our face-to-face fund-raising events have been cancelled. Quite unbelievable.

And the bad news is that due to CoVid 19 we can’t meet you lovely bikers, we can’t enjoy our special Sunday morning with coffee, mince pies and chat with you all; we can’t accept presents to distribute for various reasons. 

The important thing is we don’t want to lose contact with any of you. We’ve really valued your kind support and generosity over the past 29 years - the roar of those beautiful bikes approaching the hotel on that unique Sunday morning, the fantastic festive costumes and brilliant banter! 

But the good news is we are combining two December 2020 projects – the Christmas Eve Special Delivery and our traditional Late Christmas Party. That way we can at least make sure gifts are taken to over 300 local children, most of whom will be facing a very bleak time indeed in families suffering immense hardships.

Everyone in GLCT joins me in wishing you and your families well, keep safe and we very much look forward to seeing you all in December 2021.
