We research cures for childhood cancers to ensure that more children survive!

Story

Starting from the 27th January,  we will be raising money for Kidscan Children's Cancer Charity in Salford, by offering free training sessions to Manchester based businesses in return for donations for our chosen charity.  For every presentation we give we suggest a donation of £100, we truly appreciate any support we can get to reach our goal.

I have been privileged enough to work with some elite performers in both the business and sports world over the past 10 years and I want to share some key insights to help transform the outlook of teams, helping them with mental agility, resilience and focus in 2020.

Running this campaign allows us to inspire businesses in Manchester whilst also raising funds for a great cause and we had lots of fun doing this last year.

Kidscan Children's Cancer Research is a Salford based charity funding and managing research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the UK. Kidscan are solely dedicated to combating children's cancer.

We initially started this campaign to raise funds for a cancer charity that supported one of my clients, footballer Joe Thompson, who beat blood cancer twice and returned to professional football and saving his team from relegation on the final day of the season by scoring the winning goal. A truly inspirational story.

Joe commented: “The work I have done with Martin over nearly a decade has been a massive help, not only in my footballing career, but more importantly in my life. He installed the tools and the mindset into me to remain positive through both battles with cancer, and to get back on the pitch playing professionally. I’m extremely grateful to have had that support over the years and I am delighted to help his cause spreading his positivity across Manchester, and also raising money for a charity that supports Children going through a similar battle to myself”.

There are many great lessons in Joe’s story that relate to the challenges we face in every day life and business and how staying mentally strong and focused is key to us all.

Being positive is not just about expecting everything will go well all the time, unlike some mistakenly believe. It is much more about using the tool of your mind to stay mentally strong when you face difficult setbacks and challenges.

This will be the focus of these presentations, teaching these principles to as many people as we can reach.
