Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For the month of October, I will be participating in Sober October, where I will go alcohol free for 31 days. This may not seem like a challenge for many, however, I cannot think of a time over the last ten years where I have gone alcohol free for longer than two weeks. Challenge accepted.

I hope to raise money in memory of Elliot Taylor for Empowerment Charity, an organisation based in Blackpool which offer support to people to create positive changes in their lives. They help people who have experienced, homelessness and mental health.

Elliot Taylor aged 24 tragically passed away on 14th September 2020. He was a much loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew.

Mental Health has a huge impact on peoples lives in the UK. 1 in 4 people will experience mental health issues each year, with 75% of cases starting before the age of 18. 80-90% of people who die by suicide are experiencing mental health distress, and of those, 75% are men.

Elliot's family hope that any money raised will go towards helping other young men who are suffering their own battle with mental health.

Thank you
