We offer financial and practical support to families whose children have cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My best friend Helen and I have set ourselves the challenge of hiking the national 3 peaks in 24 hours. (Ben Nevis, the Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon)

We are aiming to complete this challenge in aid of Abby’s Heroes. The aim of this charity is to help and support families who come under the care of the Piam Brown and the Teenagers and young Adults wards in Southampton General Hospital.

The charity  offers financial and practical help and importantly the opportunity to make lasting memories for the children, young adults and their families.

As my beautiful God daughter Katie  (Helen’s daughter) was diagnosed with cancer. I saw firsthand the devastation, trauma and chaos the diagnosis causes, not only the effect on the family’s emotional state and well-being, but also the financial implications as jobs are either put on hold or lost.

We will never stop being thankful for Katie’s recovery, however her friend Abby sadly lost her battle. Therefore in honour of Abby we are determined to  complete this challenge and would be so grateful for all your support

Thank you
