Story
This project started after a few firefighters from Montenegro got in touch asking for help. The charity has a very successful history working in the Balkans helping rebuild and support many fire & rescue organisations post the Balkan war in the 1990s. Consequently a team of our volunteers have just spent some time there working with the 'Association of Firefighters and Rescuers of Montenegro' to identify what help was needed and where. Their findings were eye opening. Many stations had very little equipment and most stations had no PPE for their firefighters, so most of them would go to fight fires without any protective equipment. Our goal is to provide every fire fighter in the country with at least one set of PPE to protect themselves in order to serve their communities. We have also identified that training will be one of the main focuses in the next phase of the mission.
You donations allow us to gather and send equipment from the United Kingdom, create training programmes and send experienced fire fighters to deliver this training where it is most needed. Without your help and support, this would not be possible.
Thank you for your ongoing help and support in saving and protecting lives around the world.
