Story

Molly the dog was involved in an accident on Saturday morning at Harelaw, Stanley. She was hit by a white van that then drove off. Police attended the scene, finding the dog in pain and rushed her to Prince Bishops vets at Leadgate, where she was treated for a broken leg and significant cuts. When she was x-rayed at the vets, she was found to be pregnant, unfortunately due to the trauma, she lost the pups.

The dog is making progress, however she has a long way to go. We need to raise some money to help with the treatment and medicines that she will need in order to make a full recovery (expected to be over £1000). We have spoken to the Dogs Trust, who have kindly agreed to underwrite the costs initially, however we are asking for donations to the Dogs Trust to pay for the treatment. Please help this poor girl who has just lost her puppies – every little bit helps J

We have to say a big thank you to Prince Bishops vets in Leadgate who have shown the utmost compassion to this dog, who they have named ‘Molly’. The Dogs Trust will now look to help with her after care and finding her a nice home.
