Story
WHY?
AsSalaam alaikum :)
As some of you may know, early last year our father, Muhammad Hamid, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
Our father is a loving and courageous man who has fought his entire life to provide for us so we would like to do something that would benefit him and many others.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.”
For the past 2 years The LMH charity have been working with an amazing community in Ghana, providing them with food, clean water and health care.
We hope to assist in this project by helping to fund the completion of a much needed sanctuary in the village which will serve as a masjid, an orphanage, a boarding school and a community centre for the people living there.
It will also stand as a continuous sadaqah for our father. We are asking for your help to make this dream a reality.

STORY SO FAR...
The foundations and the structure for the first floor have been built.
We need 313 units for Ghana Dergah/Sanctuary floor, each unit is £45. This includes iron rods, water pipes, concrete, cement, wood/metal work, labour and the electrics.
So far we're on 100 units !

MORE ABOUT THE DERGAH/SANCTUARY BELOW:
This work is being carried out with the permission and blessing of Sultan Ul Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Mehmet Adil Ar-Rabbani.
LMH and Naqshbandi Ghana Foundation have started to build their first Dergah/Sanctuary in Ghana. The Dergah/Sanctuary will serve both the local community and travellers. It will have a masjid which will accommodate over 100 worshippers at any one time.
It will be used for the following:
- Orphanage (with safe guarding procedures in place)
- Safe space for Women and Children
- Boarding School
- Feeding the Poor
- Daily/Weekly Prayers
- Nikahs/Weddings
- Dhikr Gatherings
- Other Large Events
MADRASSA
A full time Madrassa that will function 6 days a week, it will host classes that'll teach recitation of the Qur'aan and Hifz. There will also be classes that focus on Islamic studies, tassawuf and general subjects.
BOARDING SCHOOL
The boarding school will feature a living quarters, which will be used to house orphans, where they can attend the boarding school. We hope to give people an opportunity to sponsor poor children, to provide them with accommodation, regular nutritious meals, uniforms and materials to aid their studies.
FEEDING THE POOR
A kitchen and dining area is paramount in any dergah. We aim to use it to feed local poor people 3 times a week whilst providing daily meals for the students who are attending the boarding school.
SAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN
It will have a separate area where only women and children will be allowed to spend time.
WUDU FACILITIES
A wudu, shower and toilet area will also be included
FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Upon completion of the above we will plant fruits trees around the building of many different type that will feed people for many years to come InshaAllah
