Story

Hi Friends & Family

Myself and Dan are fundraising for the charity The Abode Project. This time round we will be SHAVING our hair off, for anyone who knows us this is going to absolutely destroy us and our friends will get serious entertainment out of us doing it, however it’s going towards making a huge impact in children’s life’s who can get a better education and stand a chance of survival in a very poor country.

So here’s how it goes we would love everyone to donate to the just giving page but we want to set the bar high and the highest bidders will be the shavers of our hair! HOWEVER.....we want to set the bar even higher so if we can’t raise the money the hair is staying!!🤣

For this voluntary work we will have to:-

-Raise as much Money as we can to donate

-pay for our accommodation

-pay for our flights

-also this a non profitable organisation, which we are fundraising for so all money goes into their community and not funded towards our trip out there.

After our last visit to Uganda which was a success we managed to build the rest of the classrooms, kitchen, pantry, showers and playground as well as first and second fix all the electrics, along with painting the orphanage.

We are looking at fundraising for the charity I’m going away with #theabodeproject. There are around 100 of us going away to assist and work with the locals & building on the orphanage, so the children have the facilities and a better way of life.

Any contributions would be such a blessing and greatly appreciated, January is a tight month, but to know your money is going towards putting a smile on someone’s face who has very little and making a big difference in their life and others around them.

Thank you all x

Mitch & Dan

The Abode Project is a non-profit organisation born from the essential pillars of the house music community, sourcing funds via private and public donations as well as raising money through the medium of hosting large-scale events around the world. On the previous two trips we have successfully built and opened a fully-licensed junior school with boarding facilities and our students have just completed their first year at the school.Between Saturday 1st and Tuesday 11th February 2020, we will make our return to Kabale, Uganda to continue our work on the existing and new project work within the school grounds. Our main focus for this trip will be to turn our attention to projects outside of the school walls in the local community. We are aiming to make repairs and improvements to other local schools in the area and a medical centre in need of desperate repair. The funds raised from this campaign will buy building supplies, employ local tradesmen and purchase essential equipment.
