In 2004-5 Mike became the 108th Lord Mayor of Sheffield and chose the Cavendish Cancer Centre as one of his nominated charities for the year, he continued to support them and became a Patron of the charity. 

His fundraising included abseiling down a hotel in the centre of Sheffield, in a full mayoral regalia  T-shirt - he would have worn the actual chains had the office let him!  As well as birthday fundraising, bake sales and shaving his head. 

As the Cavendish meant so much to Dad, we would like to continue his support and ask for donations in his memory.
