Mike Jones, Director of Policy and Risk at the Jersey Financial Services commission (JFSC), will dye his hair blue and shave it off in support of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.
Story
Macmillan Jersey is one of the JFSC’s chosen charities for 2020. When discussing ideas for fundraising, Mike was eager to make an impact in a fun and creative way.
Why Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey?
It is estimated that 1 in 2 of the population will receive a cancer diagnosis at some time during their lives. Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey provides an incredible and invaluable service to Islanders when they are going through some of the hardest times of their lives. Providing emotional support, practical information and group support to those who need it the most. We are fully behind their mission to support and empower people in Jersey affected by cancer, and want to do all we can to ensure they are able to provide these crucial services to Islanders.
How you can help
We are asking you to donate whatever you can to Macmillan Cancer support.
Mike will be dying his hair blue on Wednesday 12 August. The more we raise the longer he will keep his colourful coif!
£100 = 1 day
£250 = 3 days
£500 = 1 week
£1000 = 2 weeks!
Let’s dig deep everyone and aim for that £1,000 target to keep him on brand for as long as possible!! If every member of staff donates even a small amount we could easily make this happen!
We will keep you posted on Mike’s transformation over on our Facebook and Instagram channels, find us @jerseyfsc
