I began running 8 years ago as merely a hobby to stay in shape and be healthy. Over the years I developed a love of running and it is now an important part of my daily routine. To date, I have now completed six NYC Marathons, one Chicago Marathon and several half-marathons along the way. My goal is to achieve the Abbott Six Star medal which consists of running all six major marathons worldwide (NYC, Berlin, Tokyo, Boston, Chicago, and London). With two of those down, my focus currently is on running the London Marathon which I know can be challenging for U.S. based runners to gain entry into. Through my work and other organizations, I am active in a few charities that I am hoping can help me achieve this goal.
For over 20 years now I have worked on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange most recently as a designated market maker for GTS. During that time I have been very fortunate to meet some pretty amazing and inspiring people, one whom is Wilfred Frost a reporter for business news channel CNBC. Wilfred sadly lost his brother Miles at the age of 31 to an inherited heart condition while running. After he died, his family set up the Miles Frost Fund in partnership with The British Heart Foundation which looks to reduce unnecessary cardiac deaths, especially in the young. You can read more about the Miles Frost Fund here:
I have always dreamed of running the London Marathon, and it will be an honor to do so in aid of the Miles Frost Fund and British Heart Foundation. I cannot wait to lace up my sneakers and hop on a flight across the pond and fulfill my dream while supporting the Frost family.
I need everyone’s help in order for me to get to that start line in April. I will be raising funds for The British Heart Foundation non-stop until then and every amount helps. I think we can all agree that no family should have to lose a loved one and endure what my friend Wilfred and the Frost family has gone through and I’m counting on all of you for any contribution to this worthy cause.
