Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer has affected so many of my friend's and family, when my dad was 44 he was diagnosed with cancer, I was 21 and had always been a daddy's girl so it was heartbreaking watching him getting so upset from feeling so ill and in pain, he died within 8 weeks of his diagnosis. My 3 boys Patrick who's now 23 and my twins Ciaran and Ethan who are almost 14 sadly never got to know their grandad but we've always talked about him and how he died so you can imagine how terrifying it was for us and Ethan in September last year when he was diagnosed with leukaemia but thanks to the amazing specialists explaining how much treatment can now be done he went from being to terrified to telling me it would all be ok. He is fighting to be well and get back to doing all the sport he loves, I've never been a sporty person but I started doing boxing classes as a way to get fitter and decided to take part in the White Collar Event to raise all important funds so Cancer Research UK can continue to find ways to treat this vile disease. Those who know me will know that not only am I not that fit I'm also very shy, my dad nicknamed me mouse, so its a massive challenge for me to get in the ring in front of hundreds of people and last for 3 rounds! I am 2 weeks in to training and it's bloody hard work but I will do my very best to do a good job for everyone who is supporting me and I will be so grateful for any donations, it will make all the pain worth it.....thank you for reading, loves to all xxx
