Story
During the Covid-19 global pandemic people worldwide were advised to wear face covering. I didn’t want to take away any form of ppe from nhs and Carers who need it so I found some fabric, some patterns and started sewing!
After various attempts I now create a face covering that is:
- cotton
-2 layer
-a pocket for a filter such as kitchen roll
- a fitted nose piece
- adjustable straps that can be replaced
-washable! Hand wash though!
- 3 sizes available - small child (age2-6), child and adult
I’m not a professional and they won’t be perfect but will look good and work better than nothing. At the moment I just use fabric I have, if you have a fabric you’d like just get it to me and I’ll use that - as long as its cotton it’s good!
A bit about who the money will go to;
Leigh Community Trust is local charity who works tirelessly to help the people of leigh, from new mums and babies to the elderly. Our programmes work with those people most at need and we are not for profit.
We work tirelessly in the community to inspire individuals to dream, believe and achieve;
“I was a problem in school, my temper would get the better of me and I was so stressed about things. But that changed going to LCT Mick, Oz, Hannah and Heather were great at helping me to control my temper and were really kind and supportive in helping stop my harmful behaviours. They supported me in finding help and were always there if I needed them. My proudest moment is when I became a mentor for other groups"
