A mum with a mission! To raise funds and awareness to the awful condition; Charcot-Marie-Tooth / CMT

I have decided to do a sponsored 10 minute Tandem Paraglide and all monies are to be donated to The Charcot Therapy Centre.

Why you ask? Because this mum is dedicated but also a little bit mad but hey; that keeps life fun and me sane haha 😂

Both of my children have recently been diagnosed with this rare condition that only effects 1 in 2500 people.

There is no cure or treatment for this condition.
CMT, or Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, is a progressive degenerative disease of the nerves; caused by genetic anomalies.
In general, CMT impacts the way the nerves transmit signals to muscles leading to muscle atrophy, reduced sensation, and muscular imbalance.

My eldest Tia has a worse case of CMT than that of her younger brother. In just the past 18 months; Tia has gone from walking to needing special shoes to support her ankles; to now using a wheelchair a lot of the time. She is only 13 years old but I am so proud of her for how she's dealt with the progression of having this condition and this is exactly why this proud mum decided to go on this mission..
