What can I say? My heart feels broken as I share with you the news that my gorgeous husband Paul has sadly passed away.  Not only have I lost my soul mate and best mate, the world has lost one of the most decent, kindest, gentlest and selfless souls who cared about humanity and strived to make a difference.

Paul was passionate about helping people particularly those struggling with their mental health as he too struggled in this area. As many of you know, Paul worked at Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind. He was passionate about his work and particularly enjoyed supporting volunteers and caring for our precious planet.

Paul is such a great guy to be around! Generous with his time, he has an adventurous spirit, quick wit and is just a wonderful human. This is reflected in his many friendships.  I have been moved to tears by the numerous comments and tributes that have been posted on Social Media.  I'm grateful to know that Paul is so loved by so many.

We are living in strange times with the Covid-19 pandemic which means that only a very small number can attend Paul's funeral on Tuesday 19th May. However, as soon as there comes a time when we can all gather together again, Paul's family and I will arrange a celebration event which we would love you to attend. Please help us to remember and celebrate Paul's extraordinary life and all that he means to us.
