Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November I took part in quite a challenge - cycling nearly 225 miles through the Galilee in northern Israel, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Nazareth Hospital. It was a joint event organised by EMMS International and The Nazareth Trust, which owns the hospital. TNT is using the funds towards a new mortuary project and support for Christian witness in Nazareth (If you look at the photos you'll see how badly a new mortuary is needed). EMMS-I will use funds towards their hospice and palliative care programmes in Malawi, India and Nepal. You can read more details on the websites: http://www.emms-nazareth.org/ and http://www.emms.org/
I'm delighted to say that I have now completed the cycling itself and have done far better than I ever expected in sponsorship, raising over £5000. Staff and friends at the hospital gave us a wonderful welcome on our arrival on Friday 11th, with a brass band, balloons, presents and dancing. They really appreciate the commitment to them shown by the 27 cyclists. The event is over, but you can still donate if you wish
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Our details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to EMMS-I (who are the administrators) and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s a very efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please give as much as feel you are able to.
