Thanks for taking the time to visit my very FIRST JustGiving page.
You will probably have read or heard recently about a brave wee 3 year old East Kilbride boy Ryan Ferguson.
Ryan was diagnosed with Leukaemia on the 16th August 2011 and since being admitted to Yorkhill's Schiehallion ward has been through chemotherapy and numerous theatre visits for bone marrow. After a hugely successful appeal via the Anthony Nolan Trust in East Kilbride on 9th October 2011 a match was found for Ryan and the traumatic journey through his transplant operation began for him and his brave family.
I am hoping to raise as much money as I can for the wonderful work of all those people involved in caring for children with cancer. The Schiehallion ward - named after a Scottish munro - has been praised by Ryan's family and friends and has helped many other families through this unimaginable situation.
I hope you can spare a donation for this charity and its wonderful people as I begin my long trek from Drymen to Fort William.
Thank you all, cheers Michael
