Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page devoted in the memory of my truly inspirational friend Merle Reed who sadly passed away on Tuesday September 16th 2014 after an extremely courageous battle against the dreaded cancer.

Merle was such a beautiful and brave soul, but it was her strength and survival skills that made her my role model. There was so much more to Merle's beauty than her outward appearance. It was her grace, the way she spoke and how she spoke. Her confidence and self assurance. Merle was vulnerable and modest. She was graceful and fragile but never breakable. 

This JustGiving page will hopefully help us all to heal in time and to make a difference to the lives of so many, by donating to St John's Hospice. They took great care of Merle to her very last day and on her behalf, we would all like to help full fill her wishes in saying a huge thank you for the immense care and support that all of the staff at St John's provided, we as her family and friends will never forget your total dedication.

Merle has left a legacy of love, hope and positivity that will remain within the hearts of her family and friends from this day forward. At Merle's recent birthday on August 24th, she requested that all gifts, be in the form of donations to St John's Hospice and her family would like to continue to honour Merle's wishes with donations being made, rather then flowers at her funeral, so please dig deep and donate now. 

Here is a beautiful quote from Merle's favourite book, God Calling  a sentiment that she truly believed in and lived by...

'Fill your world with love and laughter. Never mind what anguish lies behind you. Forget, forgive, love and laugh. Treat all as you would treat me, with love and consideration. Let nothing that others do to you alter your treatment of them.'

I will never forget you Merle, you are irreplaceable and thank you for being my friend.

Our Target...

It was our mission through this JustGiving page lovingly created by Güner, in memory of my beautiful Mum. That we her family and friends would be in a position to erect a memorial to Mum, in the form of a leaf in her name being placed upon the memory tree in St John’s Hospice. We are fast approaching the sum of £3,000.00 (with giftaid it's been hit already!) in sponsorship, all of which has gone directly to St John's Hospice to help fund their amazing dedication to the care and well-being of terminally ill patients, like Mum and us her family.
