Mel was a cherished, inspiring and much loved teacher at Sciennes School for many years. Sciennes would like to honour her by raising money for a bespoke story-telling chair for use by staff and other kind adults to share stories with Sciennes children. This reflects her particular passion for reading and for early years education. It will be made in Edinburgh using recycled wood, aligning with Mel's ethos. If more money is raised, we will buy some stools for the children.
