Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's that time of the year when the countdown to Ramadan begins. We are 15 days away as I write.
I am once more trying to help raise funds for 30 days of iftaars for the orphans of Dar Ul Muslimeen Orphange in Morogoro as well as some additional funds so that they can have a celebration for eid and some eid presents. They currently have 14 girls and 26 boys of primary school age and 11 boys of secondary age.
Although I have shared this video in the past, for those of you who'd like a reminder about this charity and the children it helps, please click on the link below. For those who have not seen it before, I'd encourage you to watch it. It is not the easiest videos to watch.

As a Tanzanian, I am naturally drawn to this charity but even more so as I know the founders and know how much good work they do and the change they bring to the lives of children who have not had the best ( understatement!) starts in life. They fund this effort entirely through their own income and whatever few individual donations they get.
With the cost of living crises, countries like Tanzania are impacted even more than first world countries where the disparity between what people earn and the cost of daily essentials is ever growing and keeping orphanages like this going becomes even harder. They are reliant on donations from those more fortunate.
If you are looking for a cause to support, please consider this one. Not a single penny is wasted or used on administrative costs. Any costs related to the transfer of the money will be covered by me and my family's donation will be 10% of whatever is raised. LFT have generously agreed to double the donations.
The meals for one child for the month costs $60.
In memory of my amazing father Kassamali Daya who gave generously and without motive. All that I do of any value on this earth will ALWAYS be dedicated to you.
