After working in racing for 6 years and coming away with 4 ex racers I know the importance of finding these amazing animals new homes and careers when they retire from racing. When I saw ROR Central where doing a virtual sponsored 90 mile ride I knew I had to try and help in any way I could so signed me and Barnsdale (aka Letty as most people know him) up. 

Me and Letty go way back, he was one of the first racehorses I broke in, I then leg him up at his first ever race (where he half went to sleep in the stalls) then once he turned 3 years old and I had my apprentice licence I rode him in all his races after that (a whopping 35 races) he taught me so much and now we’re trying lots of new things out of racing but he does love his hacking out, as I hope everyone will see in the photos and videos I share of him.  

Hopefully everyone will see how amazing and versatile ex racers are, and how they will literally try anything.
