Medical Aid Ukraine - North East are a grass roots not-for-profit organisation who are working to procure the most urgently needed medical equipment for Ukraine’s field hospitals. We are working alongside other national organisations with similar goals and values to ensure the most efficient outcome.

We have been liaising with Ukrainian front line medics and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health in order to produce a list of most urgently requested medical items. We are working alongside NHS Foundation Trusts, private suppliers and manufacturers and members of the public to procure these items. We then organise transport of these items to our warehouses where they are repackaged and then transferred to Ukraine. Our most urgently requested items travel by air, with the assistance of Lunar Aid - a not-for-profit organisation of pilots volunteering their time and planes, and by land using local haulage and logistical companies.

Up until this point we have been able to rely on physical donations of items. So far we have moved over 4,000kg of medical aid and 4 ambulances to Ukraine without a single penny exchanging hands - and we cannot thank you enough for that. We are now in a situation where fundraising has become necessary as there are certain life and limb saving items and medications which we are not able to procure through physical donations. Every single penny raised (apart from the Just Giving fees) will go directly to purchasing urgent medical supplies. Our team are all working on a voluntary basis and we are not covering expenses.
