Meadow Ward in Williton Hospital cares for up to 17 patients
– all of whom are rehabilitating from acute stroke.

Staff and patients using pedals are participating by recording their exercise distances to cover the Challenge distance this year of 1260 miles along the South West coastal Path and back.  This Activity challenge will raise funds to purchase the subscription to the “Motiview” Video system and App which provides cycling videos from all over the world.

This system plays videos of cycling routes of your choice – and
makes therapy sessions much more interesting and engaging; from cycling across France, to riding around your hometown (all without having to go outside!). 

Using this system encourages engagement, reminiscence and improves stamina to hugely benefit overall recovery and rehabilitation.   

We aim for patients (using pedals and motiview) plus staff exercise to complete the 1260 miles along the South West .Each of the staff and patients are continuing clocking up as much mileage as able! We want to raise the £2000 that it costs to subscribe to Motiview for one year.
