Please donate today and help to give a young person in Scotland that first, powerful hour needed to take the first steps towards a brighter future.

Story

Since I moved to Glasgow the canals and waterways around the city have become a major part of my life. I both commute to work along the cycle paths as well as escape to the waterways for running, kayaking and just watching the ducks.

Given all that I have received from the canals I thought it was time to start giving back.

On August 22nd I will be riding from Edinburgh to Glasgow (about 60 miles). If I can raise £750 I'll ride from Edinburugh to Balloch (about 75 miles).

The Scottish Waterways Trust work help support the waterways and the communities based around them. The Power of an Hour Program aims to raise funds to support the work of canal officers. For more information see the links in the side bar.
