Story
Imagine you were living through a pandemic with no easy, free access to vaccinations. The local medical staff, parents of young children and your grandparents, dying from covid... this is a reality in Nepal, where my beautiful, selfless friends run an amazing organisation. My family last visited Rights4Children in 2015 just before the Gorkha earthquake. We were humbled by the Nepalese people, who despite their poverty and daily struggles showed immense love and kindness. Nepal is a relatively small country, one of the poorest nations in the world, but one with the richest culture and love I have ever experienced. The media regarding the pandemic has recently focused a lot on India, so you will all have a feel of what is currently happening. Nepal is its neighbour, with far worse medical infrastructure and are highly dependent on India for trade / medical supplies. THEY NEED OUR HELP NOW! What I ask is, if you were offered a vaccination and thought the service was worth a coffee for the team, instead of buying that coffee, please donate here. If we all did this, imagine what difference we could make to this world.
Lack of tourism means people who were just managing are now starving. Newly orphaned children and children at risk of child trafficking are in immediate danger from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Share some love! You can do something to help.
Please follow our progress and the Rights4Children website on http://right4children.org/ about their work. Their Facebook site will give you updates on what they are doing on the ground so you can see the arrival of the medical equipment, and responses from the medical staff on the ground.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS.
AND A MASSIVE THANKS TO MY TEAM WHO CONSTANTLY WORK TIRELESSLY TO ROLL OUT THE VACCINES, WHICH WE ARE SO PRIVILEGED TO HAVE ACCESS TO!!
