Story
Max was a perfectly healthy boy until aged 9, when he developed dyspraxia and epilepsy. Over the next year it became apparent that he had a "progressive disease" called mitochondrial myopathy (subtype called MERRF). It is a rare disease and there is no known treatment so far. Max through his charm and personality managed to have a full and productive life despite progressive disability. He is an inspiration to all of us in his abilty to have remained extremely positive and always with a smile. It is such a shame that there was no treatment, so we are keen to raise funds to help cure children in the future.
