Story

The effect this pandemic has had on the elderly is absolutely heartbreaking.

I am aiming to raise £500 through 500km of exercise, mainly through runs and cycles within the next 3 weeks (or the duration of lockdown). If 500km is exceeded, I will aim to match the amount of money raised in km. Your donations will go to Age UK HHB who cover the boroughs of Hillingdon, Harrow, and my own borough, Brent.

AgeUK has been amazing throughout this pandemic, offering an incredible service to the elderly, helping to provide companionship, advice and support. As you can imagine, older people who are alone or having to self-quarantine can lead to them feeling isolated and low. Donating will help Age UK answer more calls to their advice line and provide regular friendship calls to those who are lonely during the lockdown.

I will be posting all the runs/cycles on my Strava account, as well as a dedicated Instagram page called ExerciseForTheElderly. Links for both are below. Thank you so much for all your donations. Stay positive and test negative!
