Each year hundreds of women and children use the services of Women's Aid, in South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire. Women's Aid provide shelter and support to women and children escaping domestic violence. Many families using this service will have had to escape unsafe homes with no/very little belongings. This could mean that many of these women and children will have little essentials and no extra funds for Xmas gifts. 

Each year we try to provide a gift for each child using the service and when we donated funds to purchase vouchers last year this was very well received. By donating funds instead of physical gifts, the women were able to choose the most appropriate present for their own children and some were even able to purchase a Xmas meal of their choice. That’s why we’re looking to donate funds rather than gifts again this year. 

Last year, with your help, we raised a whopping £1,850 and we would love to match this amount this year.

With over 300 children’s accessing WASLER’s services over the Xmas period, every penny really does count. So, please dip deep and donate if you can.
