Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Bristol-Bath Marathon (26.2 miles) on October 25th in memory of my Mother in Law Shirley, who lost her battle to cancer in March this year following a very short illness.

Shirley was an outgoing, sociable and fun loving woman who was loved by everyone that met and knew her.

In February 2015, very much out of the blue, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. A week later we were told it was terminal as it had spread to her liver. Shirley passed away 3 weeks later peacefully in hospital. She died exactly 4 weeks after her initial diagnosis.

Her death has devastated us all, and left a huge hole in our lives

I want to raise as much money as I can for cancer research so further developments can be made to destroy this evil disease, and prevent other sufferers and families having to go through the pain we have experienced.

Please give all that you can to help me achieve this.

Thank you

Matt
