Story

Thanks for clicking on to my page,

In November we will be taking part in the 2010 Beaujolais Run, raising money for the Richard Burns Foundation and Henry Surtees Foundation charities. Its a 4 day, 1500 mile epic drive from Kent to Macon in the Beaujolais region of France, mixing 50 modern and classic cars on the French roads, its a navigation challenge in a foreign country, and there will be fancy dress, and we have a target of £2250.

In previous years I've navigated for friend and Classics Monthly editor Gary Stretton. This year Lisa will be reading the map and TomTom and we will be using my 1972 Rover, so I finally get to drive!

This will be the 5th time I've taken part, but the first time Ive done it without a magazine (Classics Monthly) behind me, thanks to everyone corporate and individual who has sponsored or pledged already, but we still have a long way to go.

Sponsoring is fast and secure and you wont get any spam emails from here, just a warm fuzzy feeling.

Although we are supporting 2 charities, Ive picked this one as when Gary and I broke down in 2008, Richard's dad Alex rescued us and drove us home in his Subaru! Our offline total will be split to make it equal.

About the charity

The Richard Burns Foundation was created following the death of Richard Burns, the 2001 FIA World Rally Champion, from an astrocytoma, a form of brain tumour, in November 2005. The Foundation's mission is to support people with brain injury and illness.
