We are writing a public announcement no parent thinks they would ever have to write. When the unthinkable becomes reality and when you're left to pick up your life and you know - you KNOW - it can never be the same again.
Our daughter Masha passed away on March 13th after 2 years and 3 months of living with and being treated for cancer. At one point we found ourselves in a situation when neither our insurance provider nor the NHS would fund Masha's immunotherapy and on top of all the stress and fear we were faced with having to fundraise to pay for her treatment.
It's cruel and unbearable and no one should have to worry about money in addition to cancer, which is why we are asking you to donate to the wonderful charity that helps young people in need of rare and expensive treatment. In the past, Masha raised more than £40K for them, and we would like to add a bit more. Below is the story Masha wrote last year for her fundraising page (image attached).
Thank you.
