Why do I give to MSSPA's Buy-A-Bale campaign? Because many of the horses rescued and brought to MSSPA have had major food security issues which have contributed to health and behavior issues.  One $5 bale of hay per day for each horse can make all the difference to them, opening up a world of possibilities.  As they regain their health and strength, they learn to trust again and become the curious,  intelligent, social creatures they were intended to be.  This transformation is a miracle to watch and comes, in large part, from that daily bale of sweet hay they know awaits them each morning. I do a monthly deduction on my credit card to ensure that the supply is not interrupted and guess what! I don't even miss it! It's a great way to contribute and truly make a difference for these wonderful horses.
