Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May of this year we are aiming to complete a circular trek of the Lake District mountains. Our route will reach 42 summits over a minimum distance of 66 miles. The amount of ascent over the 3 day challenge will equal the height of Everest.

The trek covers the highest mountains in the Lakes, including Scafell Pike, Bowfell, Skiddaw and Helvellyn. The route will also include Lord's Rake, a precarious scree slope up the face of Scafell.

We have selected Brain Tumour Research in memory of Martyn's dad, who tragically was taken by the cancer in 2005. The charity receives very little government funding and our team would like to support them as much as we can.

Thanks

Martyn, Steve, Dave, Matt and Ant

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
