Story
For those of you who don’t know me, or are unfamiliar with my story, my name is Martin Hywood, I'm a 42 year old dad to three great girls, living with and adapting to, a life with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. I am doing all I can to raise awareness and funds to keep muscles moving for longer.
On Sunday, August 30 I have organised and will be taking part in a relay. This will be a very special relay over the distance of a marathon. Over 26 miles, over 30 participants, raising huge awareness and vital funds for world class research into muscular dystrophy. A marathon of miles for muscles – A very unique event, an orange relay never been seen before. The day will also consist of a festival of music and entertainment.
As I said, I will be taking part myself and will try to walk the very last, impossible mile, despite my condition.
The Aristocrat, Aylesbury, 30th August, 12:00 until late.
This is a team page including and for all our amazing participants to share.
*Edit update - Mark Sammon will be running a complete 26.2 mile Marathon on this day too. Mark has challenged himself to 'Race the Relay'.
Also, Dean Murray will be trying to complete 26.2 miles in under 90 minutes on his bike.
