We provide life saving food assistance to hungry children and their families

Story

We are a group of friends from Darlington with a common passion for running. Like many people we've been shocked by the current situation in Afghanistan, with recent reports of people, including children and babies, facing starvation.  Currently the UN estimates that only 2% of the population are getting enough to eat.

The UN's World Food Programme (WFP) is on the ground in Afghanistan and making a difference to get food to those who need it. We want to do something to support the WFP, so between the 6 of us are running 150 miles throughout the week beginning 17th January. We hope our collective effort will encourage you to donate to the work of the WFP.  Thank you in advance for your support. Anything you can give will make a big difference!
