We raise awareness of Sjögren's Syndrome to fund research and support sufferers.

Story

On 9 February 2021, our mother Marlene sadly passed away aged 72. She was a long term sufferer of Sjögren’s Syndrome, a little known autoimmune disease.

According to the British Sjögren’s Syndrome Association, it is "the UK’s second most common autoimmune rheumatic disease, yet the condition remains under-recognised and frequently undertreated. It does not command a high profile within the medical profession, and the general public is largely unaware of the problems faced by sufferers. In reality, Sjögren’s Syndrome can be a debilitating, distressing and miserable condition." (More info: https://www.bssa.uk.net/pdfs/information-sheet.pdf)

Over the last few years, Marlene worked hard to raise awareness about Sjögren’s. We would like to continue her work and raise money for BSSA, which she was part of and greatly helped her with advice about her symptoms and to spread awareness.

We miss our vibrant, lovely, kind mother so dearly and want to help BSSA help others suffering from this condition on her behalf. Please give generously to this very worthy cause.
