Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September 2015, I will be tackling Stok Kangri, with an elevation of nearly 21,000 ft which is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the
Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India, this will be the highest mountain that I have undertaken.
The survival rate for this cancer is extremely low, with only 3% surviving past five years, this rate has NOT changed in the LAST 40 YEARS!!! I have now lost my brother and mother and many good friends to cancer, by raising money and awareness to this and many other cancers we can make a difference.
You may wonder why you should spread awareness when you don't know anyone with Pancreatic Cancer? Because at one point, neither did I....
As many of you know my mother passed away in June 2012, just 5 months after being diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer..she was only 71. I am doing this climb in my mothers memory and to raise money and awareness for a charity that will help fund research into a treatment and hopefully one day a cure. (all donations will be for the charity, the challenge is NOT funded via the donations this is self funded)Although this charity is based in the UK the research for this terrible cancer is worldwide! So please dig deep and donate as much as you can, every penny counts! You can follow my training progress and the actual progress of the trek on my facebook page

Many thanks again!
