WE MADE IT

After four hard days we made it from one side of the country to the other- fantastic countryside, beautiful weather and great fun.

Mike, Gary, Duncan, Trevor, Tim and I would like to say thank you

This a good cause and we really appreciate all your support.

Following the shock of Mike's illness I agreed to assist in his recovery by cycling with him on Saturday mornings. At first we rode a couple of miles stopping for coffee but soon we were racking up 20-30 miles each time we went out. Michael and I were then joined by Gary and on his first outing we nearly finished him off by riding forty miles!

Soon Trevor and Duncan joined us and finally Tim our guru came on board  - and the team was born.

From riding Choppers and Penny Farthings we have new state of the art bikes, fancy helmets and I have taken a liking to lycra!

We then came up with this hair-brain scheme to cycle across the country to raise money for those in a similar position (see team page)

What began as a bit of fun on a Saturday morning became  a serious cycle ride with a serious cause.

We did it against 30mph winds, laughing all the way - Mike was attacked by a dog, Trevor by a Grouse! Gary fought dehydration and Duncan became an off road expert.
