Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in late 2021, following an earlier melanoma diagnosis in 2020.

Melanoma is nasty.  It takes no prisoners, and depending upon when it is diagnosed, can be life-limiting.

Faced with a late-stage diagnosis, I was keen to get as much information as possible as to what I was up against.  Melanoma Focus is one of the organisations which has provided that information, and this has helped me enormously.  (It's well worth a look at their website for guidance on self-checking your own skin!).

Since completing the initial challenge, I've extended it to a total of 10,000 miles over a five-year period.  This should keep me fit and challenge me for a few years - particularly since I had the all-clear in late 2023.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
